Some students take more time to develop reading habit,Parents need to encourage them..some students need personal attention, they should be coached accordingly.

Parents need to be coached regularly about this pattern of learning and made aware of the advantages of care free learning..

Special note

A “reading habit” can be a prelude to “self learning”.A reading habit(non targetted reading) can help a person find his “passion” and self learn it…Self Learning may also involve learning from life and work experiences . In the modern world where many people are looking to be self dependent and self employed, Self learning can be the path towards it.History proves it that a staggering no of people who self learned came out with many inventions, innovations & theories in the past centuries. This happened at a time when  facilities were limited.

Gyaanshaala’s motto is  “study from home to work from home ”featured articles in the “Gyaanstambh” section gives valuable information about it.

In the Gyaanstambh section the director and owner of the center Mr “Rajiv Magan” has written several articles to benefit the youth, specially those who don’t get guidance in various facets of life. Rajiv Magan  is a diploma in Mechanical engg. He was fortunate to have lived in a cosmopolitan city like Mumbai . His father was employed in an MNC company and was provided housing facility in its colony. He was raised in Kalyan an industrial town, in a multicultural society and so enjoyed the benefits of cultural diversity, which helped him form his personality.

After completing his diploma,he worked in a workshop and also did sales for some time.He also learnt computers .His past experience of reading “knowledge books”,sales and market research activities helped him to turn into an entreprenuer at an early age.  He started a computer education center in 1994, he trained thousands of students and gave them placements as well. He joined the BPO industry(Voice process) in 2003 and worked for ten years in the top MNC cos of the world like Accenture and Tech Mahindra where he provided support to overseas customers. He was awarded many citations for best practices and  services to customers. Being in the communication business and getting trained from the best companies in the world helped him to refind himself and understand his strengths and weaknesses.

Returning back to his roots in Dehradun,he started a coaching center.Over the years he has taught many students and helped them overcome their fears of learning.

He has started a programme for students to self learn languages, specially English. For this he provides easy picture books to students to be read at home. He has built this website and a well equipped library for that . Both vernacular and English medium students come  to avail the library facilities .Book reading has improved the language skills of these students considerablythat too without much coaching. Over the years he found that many students due to their background, learning style or for other reasons face confidence issues and don’t get guidance relating to language learning or life skills. The articles written in the Gyaanstambh About Us section   is an attempt to bridge the knowledge gap in such students .It is also an attempt to bring awareness on the challenges one faces in the  various fields of life and ways to overcome them .It should hopefully serve its purpose to help people who want to better their life .For any questions , please feel free to contact at the website’s email address.
